Children need educating in healthy eating and I think a lot of parents do too. Too many ready meals available with high salt, preservatives and additives etc.

Cookery lessons in school would be fine if they were taught properly.
I once refused to supply my daughter with 'ingredients' for her 'cookery' class.
She had to bring in a tin of fruit and ready made pastry to make a pie.
The only thing she brought was a 'note' from me to give to the teacher!

Guess the bottom line is Calories........too many calories goes in and they don't use them up, no playing outside anymore, only watch television, play on puters and eat fast foods and treats.......So sad.

Thats true. Children need exercise to keep them healthy and it also sets the scene for the rest of their lives to keep fit and healthy.
