Ooohhh, I made my own homemade curry today. I love curries, fairly hot or mild.
It smelt lovely cooking, got the rice perfect and naan bread.....................
Well, hubby said he wanted it really hot (curry that is Laughing ) so I put in extra chilli flakes Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing
OMG, my mouth went numb, could'nt feel my lips, thought my head was going to drop off when I tasted HIS pan of curry........Yes you got it, I made two pans, one especially for him and one for me Laughing Laughing
I think hubby just ate it out of stubborness, because he asked for it really hot Laughing Laughing He could'nt understand how I was eating mine without breaking out in a sweat.
I still have'nt told him, I might one day Laughing Laughing
I think he will be using lots of toilet roll tomorrow Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Here you go Raven, but just stick to these ingredients Laughing Laughing
This is for one person, so just double up for two.

INGREDIENTS
1 tbsp olive oil
½ onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
½ tsp dried chilli flakes (I put in 8 tbsp Laughing )
½ tsp cumin
½ tsp turmeric
½ tsp medium curry powder
100g/3½oz chicken breast, skinned and cubed
1 tbsp tomato purée
1 tomato, skinned and chopped
100ml/3½fl oz hot chicken stock
50ml/2fl oz double cream
salt and freshly ground black pepper
25g/1oz chopped fresh coriander

METHOD
1. Preheat the oven to 200C/400F/Gas 6.
2. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan and fry the onion and garlic until soft.
3. Add the spices and fry for a further minute.
4. Add the chicken pieces and cook, stirring, for five minutes, then add the tomato purée and chopped tomato and cook until soft.
5. Pour in the chicken stock and cream, then simmer for five minutes. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.

When I was about 4 we had some lodgers stay at our house. One was a bloke called John Munslow and he used to make really hot curries which other than me and him, no one else would touch cos they were so hot.

Sadly, I cannot have anything hotter than a korma these days. Sad
