A major search is under way for a 10-year-old girl missing on a trip to a reservoir.

Schoolgirl Jody Upton-Webb was reported missing to police after a primary school trip to Burrator Reservoir on Dartmoor.

"She had been in an arboretum in the area when it was noticed that she had gone," said a Devon and Cornwall Police spokesman.

A police spokesman said they were becoming "increasingly concerned" about the girl, who has been missing since 3.40pm on Wednesday.

Police said she was described as a sensible girl, dressed in appropriate clothing.

The girl is wearing an orange tracksuit with a grey-blue coat with fur around the hood.

Police have been searching the area, and Dartmoor Rescue Group members are now involved in the search.

Police appealed to anyone who may have seen a girl matching the description to call 999.

It's not long been on the local news the girl has been found safe and well. She was playing hide and seek and got caught in a bog. She was taken to Derriford and has now been reunited with her parents.
