As the rate of obesity is increasing within the UK and children mainly, Who do you think is to blame?
Can it be suggested that the blame can be laid upon parents, Government, branding and advertising if we are talking about children with obesity? Or is it something totally beyond those indicated?

Unless there is a medical reason for a childs obesity then it is the fault of the parent.
It is called 'child abuse'!!!! Evil or Very Mad

Kids dont play and run about these days like we did, ok it was safer to let kids out then but a lot of parents cant be bothered taking their kids swimming or in the summer on bike rides, they prefer to let them sit in front of a computer or games console so avoiding having to interact with them. I cant remember the last time I saw a Dad kicking a ball with his kids.
We cant blame the government cos they arent the ones feeding our kids with awful un-nutritious ready made meals.
Its all too easy to blame someone else.
An example I saw today was a parent picking up 2 kids from the back of St Mary's and driving them to Gwynfa Hill then they all got out of the car and went in a house. Now that is IDLE, No wonder kids are getting bigger.

It is hard for families on the go these days, but my kids dad still kicks a ball with them. Sometimes you have to put everything aside and MAKE time to do things!!!!
Lots of foods have hidden fats, sugars etc and lots of people don`t read labels or understand what these scientific words are on labels!!!! ( why do they have to complicate things on labels).
I read the labels of most things as I have made a habit to do it. Sometimes wonder if I look silly reading all the labels in Tesco and it can take longer to get around, but I do it for the good of the children!

Sometimes I think it is taken too far though with reading labels on things. Whats wrong with just sensible eating.
If I started reading the labels on everything I would probably go on a total food free diet.
Paranoia is on the increase!!

My daughter does the same. Buys all organic stuff too.
She knows straight away if they have been given things with 'E' numbers.
My mother used to say I was uncontrollable as a child, I now believe it was her fault, I must have been all 'E'd' out, overdosed on 'Eeeeee's'.
I'm beginning to understand me when I was a child now!! Laughing

My son couldnt have anything that was red or he would go hyper, but fresh food instead of processed food is so much better, fresh meat, fresh fruit and veg. I know its more expensive and it has to be prepared. There is only 22mths between my kids and we were both working but I made sure they had fresh food even if I had to prepare it the night before.
