Does anyone know who the owners of the Soldier's Point are?
If so, could you please advise me?
It could very well be that there is a preservation order on the site, or that there is to be some development work, in the future. In any case, I would appreciate the information.

He's not that nice a bloke. We contacted him a few months back as I met somebody from Manchester who was interested in buying the place, and when I rang him to see if it was ok to pass his telephone number on, he went in a right arrogant strop Rolling Eyes

The development they are talking about at the moment was in the Holyhead and Anglesey Mail a couple of weeks ago, the new 'coastline development'

Thank you for the information. I have read the Holyhead & Anglesey Mail item but it does not answer the question. I know about the Stena proposals but they do not, as I understand it, include the area around Soldier's Point.
If you have the telephone number of the owners or agents, I would like to discuss the matter with them.

A preservation for the wildlife do you mean? I know from having had the fields that Stena own, to graze my horses for the last 10 years, that there are foxes and badgers in the immediate area.

White blazes, I think you have missed my earlier point.
I wanted information about the ownership of the (Hotel) and land so that I can discuss their futire plans. It has been almost derelict for many years and needs someone to revive it!

WHO IS THE OWNER OR WHO IS THE AGENT FOR THE OWNER PLEASE

The last owners I know were the Brooksbank family, from Manchester as far as I know. That was quite some time ago though.
Passed the building last week when taking the pooch for a walk, its quite sad to see it in the state it is now. My mother used to work there for the Brooksbanks in between working at the County Hotel.

It's changed hands a few times since then, Mrs McDonald had it for some years till recently, and sold it to a family, who I believe have recently sold it on again hence the new development plans.

Aha! Now would those 'development plans' be the ones concerning Stena, I wonder?
