I'm having trouble setting up the above, anyone had this or resolved it? It seems to be linked to the fact that I have NAT3 and not 2 but again I don't know how to fix that either?
Anyone know?? _________________ Yma O' Hyd |

Which router are you using... are you trying to allow incoming and outgoing traffic for a particular application and the NAT is stopping you... if this is the case then its a matter of setting your routers DMZ function by assigning the public ip of your computer.. i know how to do this and is a very simple procedure but need to know which router you are using and what exactly you wish to accomplish |

I'm using a Sweex wireless router to my PS3 and yes I'm trying to do exactly that... setting the DMZ function as I need the NAT 2 to be set on my PS3 as I can't get the chatting / comms to work correctly. _________________ Yma O' Hyd |

Hi,
1) are the games working over the wireless, are you able to play the online games using the ps3...
2) can you actually host games on your ps3 and allow other people join in your games and play them...
3) i need to know the model number of your router..
4) do you run your pc and the playstation at the same time...
5) is there a hub configuration icon or program on your pc for you wireless router
if you can get back to me with those answers it would help me a lot..
in the mean time, try this: Load your hub configuration software on the pc if you have it, goto your home network and assign the public ip of your router...
once youve done that, goto START on desktop then click RUN and type in CMD to open the command prompt window
when the window opens, type the following...
ipconfig /release (this releases your ip from the hub)
then type
ipconfig /renew (this renews it and makes it public - visible, make a note of the new ip address...)
close the command prompt window
*Check to see if the comms are working in your game... if they are not working, then you will probably need to set up the ports...
check to see if your hub configuration has built in pnp software, there should be a list of games on your hub... if there is you will need to goto games and application sharing in your hub configuration and assign the game your playing to your device (which you have assigned a public ip to)
p.s. let me know the answers to the above 5 questions |

Sorry for not responfinh to this post, I have been a little busy with my ISP, they've been rubbish and I haven't been able to do a few things... All solved now!
Right I have the required NAT 2 but seem to be unable to get the Upnp running, I'll try and run the config stuff you mentioned above first. _________________ Yma O' Hyd |
