HOPEfully there are some website buffs out there.

I have a commercial website I want to get online, I am willing to pay for the domain name, but I have free webspace to use.

The only thing is, once you type in the url for the domain, and hit enter, the url will show my freespace domain details, which would hardly be professional.

I have seen other sites where regardless of which page of the site you are on, the url stays the same as in the main url for the site.

Does anyone know how to do this

been doing that all day mate, with different permutations (swallowed a bloody dictionary) but no luck yet.

Just trying to be a skinflint and get it started without paying out too much, then once get some money in, then fork out.

Where did you get your domain from ? You need to forward the domain to your free host. You will need to contact the Host for details. My website stays the same as I have a one page website, I built a Flash website so there for it is the box that changes and not that page. If that makes sense!! I got my domain through namecheap.com and my website host are staminet.co.uk which are very good and very helpful !!

and after spending all day trying, managed to find it

Its called "Stealth Redirecting"

Basically the whole site remains in a frame below an invisible frame, so in effect your whole site is one page with each page being opened below the hidden one.

I am getting the domain from a friend who sells domains and hosting, the hosting itself I am having to go abroad for, due to the nature of the site certain hosters will not host it.

And before ANYONE starts....no its not a porn site, or anything illegal either!!

Cannot mate, as others have pointed out, young ones visit the site, and I will completley respect that, I would not want anyone doing it to me if I had young kids, so I would not in reverse, what I will say however that its a genuine business attempt and perfectly respectable and legal

If you already have freespace webspace and you are adding another domain to it then of course it will show up as freespace... you need to purchase a domain and forward the details to the hosting company or get your own web server...
