norton can use around 32mb of memory/resources, avg can use between 4 and 7mb.

AVG is a brilliant piece of kit, well worth it!

Tried norton and my computer just would'nt do anything. I was told after buying it that it takes up alot of memory and works better on business computers, so changed to AVG which is much better and no problems.

remember this avg free is only an antivirus program, to have to the complete package you will need to pay for it.
